Description
Cyberpunk 2077 finally feels like the game it always wanted to be. Night City is a gorgeous, grimy playground where you can punch through problems, sneak like a ghost, or melt brains from a block away.
Review
The 2.0 overhaul turns buildcrafting into the star. Perk trees now push you toward clear playstyles, whether you want to be a katana blur, a netrunner puppeteering rooms, or a chrome-tanked bruiser. Gunplay is punchy, melee feels far better, and hacking is a satisfying toolbox instead of a chore. Vehicle combat and a smarter police response add life to the streets. The quest design remains top tier, with standout side jobs that often outshine main missions. It is not perfect though. Loot bloat still clutters early hours, stealth can be finicky, and a few gigs blur together if you marathon them. On a good PC, Night City is jaw-dropping, especially with ray tracing or the path tracing mode if your rig can handle it. The city’s vertical layers, neon reflections, and dense interiors sell the vibe in a way most open worlds do not. On PS5 and Series X, performance is strong and load times are quick, with solid 60 fps modes and a nice ray tracing option if you prefer looks over frames. The soundtrack slaps, radio stations are eclectic, and voice work across the board sells the characters, with Keanu Reeves still stealing scenes as Johnny. Bugs are no longer the headline, though you will still catch the occasional jank like odd NPC behavior or a goofy physics moment. If you bounced off at launch, it is absolutely worth a return. If you love story-driven RPGs with meaningful choices, chunky combat, and memorable side quests, this hits hard. If you crave a fully simulated world where every NPC has deep routines, it still falls short of the dream, but the atmosphere and writing carry it. The base game is great on its own, and with the later updates and expansion it becomes one of the best modern RPG packages around.
