Review

Gameplay-wise the hero abilities make every round feel different and you get that rush when your team pulls off a perfect combo. It gets frustrating though when one character dominates after a patch or when you run into smurf accounts that ruin the lower ranks. The 5v5 change sped things up compared to the old 6v6 days but it also means tanks feel more important and one bad pick can snowball fast. The graphics still look bright and colorful with that comic book style that holds up years later, and the sound design really sells the personality of each hero through their voice lines and ability effects. The maps have this optimistic future vibe that makes the fights feel bigger than just shooting, even if the overall atmosphere can get a bit samey after hundreds of matches. If you enjoy team shooters and don't mind grinding for cosmetics or dealing with occasional balance headaches, Overwatch is worth checking out with friends. It shines in quick casual sessions but might wear thin if you're looking for deep single-player stuff or hate competitive pressure.
