It shines in group play where yelling directions at friends creates those unforgettable moments but solo runs turn into slow frustrating grinds that test your patience. The island looks rugged and alive with shifting weather that affects visibility on the higher cliffs and the audio does a great job selling the isolation through distant thunder cracks and the scrape of boots on rock. Everything feels grounded rather than flashy which builds this creeping dread as you get closer to the peak and realize how small you are against the environment. If you like co-op games that punish mistakes but reward good communication like a mix of survival and puzzle solving then PEAK delivers a solid challenge worth your time especially with three or four players.
