Discussion: How Will You Manage Jason and Lucia's Diet, Fitness, and Sleep?
I’m mostly just excited to hop into Leonida and see what trouble Jason and Lucia can get into. The fact that eating, hitting the gym, and getting enough sleep actually change how they look is a cool touch—Rockstar showed in the Extended Look that it’s not just a stat bar, it’s visible. Since we’ll be switching between them constantly, I’m already wondering if I’ll play favorites. Maybe I’ll keep Lucia lean and mean for cutscenes, but let Jason live off street vendor food and never sleep for a week. Does he lose muscle if I skip the gym? Do dark circles show up? I’m more curious about the consequences than the benefits.
For anyone planning a playthrough, do you think you’ll try to keep both protagonists in peak shape, or will you let one slide while the other stays disciplined? I know NPCs are supposed to remember your actions, but will they comment if Jason suddenly gains weight? I might just let chaos reign and see what happens. Drop your plans below—I need ideas for my first run.

The first thing I am testing is how body mass affects movement tech. If being bulked up hurts your sprint burst or slows down fence vaults, then peak shape might actually be a nerf. In older sandbox titles, managing stamina directly dictated routing efficiency. If keeping Jason emaciated gives him faster mantle speeds or tighter turning, speedrunners will keep him starved on purpose.
Can already see the dynamic mesh deformation hammering CPU frame times every time you sprint through a crowded downtown strip. If the engine has to constantly calculate custom cloth physics over dynamic morphs, expect some lovely micro-stutter when Jason shifts sizes. Hopefully PC gets a toggle for character simulation overhead, otherwise enjoy the erratic frame pacing every time your character skips leg day.
Forget the frame drops, think of the in-game wallet. If eating and working out drains my cash on gym memberships and overpriced vendor meals, my characters are surviving entirely on whatever scraps I find lying around. No way I am grinding dangerous heists just to fund virtual protein shakes when running from the cops burns calories for free.
