Unlocking the Sealed Stone and Getting Titan in Final Fantasy Resonance
Finding the sealed stone
Early in Final Fantasy Resonance, explorers who wander off the main path may stumble upon a mysterious sealed stone in the Grandshelt desert. It lies in the north-central area, with the Cavern of Swords to the northwest and Kol to the southeast. An NPC in Kol with an exclamation mark and a Zoldaad news bulletin both point to it, but if you stick to the story, you could easily miss it—and the powerful Esper Titan waiting inside.
Getting the Gaia Hammer
The stone cannot be opened until much later. You need a specific tool called the Gaia Hammer, which only comes from completing the Fledgling gladiator trials in Grandshelt. These trials aren't accessible until the region's restoration progresses, but you can start them once Chapter 4 begins. It's possible to clear the entire Fledgling set before finishing the main quests in Zoldaad, though the final two battles are tough unless your party is around level 30.
To handle those fights, you'll want a broad elemental spread covering fire, water, ice, and light. Bring mist restorative items as well. For Vision choices, Noctis, Tronn, Squall (especially if Jake is your Commando for his higher strength), and Cecil all work well. Since none of the enemies resist dark, Shantotto can also be valuable—her Salvation Scythe can inflict debuffs because these foes aren't classified as bosses. Fina's Light Veil helps in the final battle by reducing the frequent poison stacks from a dinosaur, though it won't block an Ahriman's Doom spell. If you're struggling, you can temporarily lower the difficulty, earn the Gaia Hammer, then raise it again.
Preparing for the Titan fight
Once you have the hammer, return to the stone. Before interacting with it, prepare for a fight against an enemy weak to wind and resistant to earth. After you break the stone, you won't be able to change Visions or equipment. Are you planning to tackle the gladiator trials early for Titan, or will you wait until later in the game?
