Which GTA 6 Trailer Did the Best Job of Selling the Game? Vote and Discuss
I keep coming back to Trailer 1—that hazy, sun-bleached Vice City montage set to Tom Petty’s “Love Is a Long Road” felt like a love letter to a place. It barely explained the story, but the mood was so thick you could almost smell the salt air. Then Trailer 2 arrived with The Pointer Sisters’ “Hot Together,” giving us real glimpses of Jason and Lucia’s dynamic, and suddenly the characters had weight. The Extended Look on Netflix, though, is where my cozy-explorer heart truly settled. Those 27 minutes showed quiet moments—kayaking through the Leonida Keys, browsing the Tisha-Wocka flea market, watching a rainbow after a storm—alongside the chaos of switching between the two protagonists mid-heist. The art direction and weather system (hurricanes!) made the world feel alive and worth wandering. The Launch Trailer, with that wild original track “Flower in a Hurricane” by Justice featuring Tame Impala, SZA, and King Gizzard, was pure adrenaline—tailored for the action crowd. For me, the Extended Look sold the game as a place I want to live in, not just play through. But I’m curious: which one resonated with you?
I’d love to hear your take:
- Did a specific trailer’s music choice sway you? (That Justice collaboration is stuck in my head.)
- Do you prefer a slow-burn atmosphere reveal or a deep dive into gameplay and character moments?
- If you had to pick just one trailer to convince a friend to buy GTA VI, which would it be?
