Description
Man, if you've ever squinted at a tiny default crosshair in some random shooter and wished you could just slap on something better, Crosshair X is basically that quick fix. It drops a custom overlay right on top of whatever game you're playing, even ones that don't have any reticle at all. You can grab designs from the community or mess around building your own, which feels handy right away.
Review
The mechanics are simple and effective once you get the hang of them. You launch the app, pick or tweak a crosshair, and it stays locked on your screen across different games without needing any in-game tweaks. It can get a little frustrating though when the overlay doesn't line up perfectly in certain titles or if you're constantly adjusting settings between sessions, but the designer tool itself is surprisingly addictive for tweaking colors, sizes, and shapes until it feels just right. There isn't much in the way of graphics or sound since this is purely a utility overlay, so the whole experience boils down to how clean and unobtrusive that reticle looks during play. It keeps things minimal, which is nice for not adding clutter, but it also means there's no real atmosphere beyond whatever the game you're running already provides. The tool just fades into the background once it's set up, letting you focus on aiming without any extra noise. If you're deep into competitive shooters and want to carry the same aim feel from one game to the next, Crosshair X is a solid pick that can genuinely help tighten up your shots. Casual players probably won't get much out of it, but anyone grinding aim trainers or jumping between titles will appreciate the consistency it brings without a big learning curve.
