Flash FM Returns: GTA 6's Confirmed Radio Station and What Else to Expect
Flash FM is among the radio stations Rockstar has officially confirmed for GTA 6 so far. The station was a defining part of the original Vice City's 1980s atmosphere, and its return suggests the new Vice City will again lean into a distinct musical identity. Rockstar has also announced a separate official soundtrack album, Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, available for pre-save and pre-order on vinyl and CD — though it's unclear if this is a compilation of in-game tracks or a standalone release.
Beyond Flash FM, the full radio lineup remains unannounced. If Rockstar follows the pattern of GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2, we can expect a mix of curated music stations, talk radio, and possibly a custom playlist feature. What's still unknown is how the modern-day setting will shape the soundtrack — will it lean into contemporary pop, Latin influences, or nostalgic throwbacks?
Which station from a past GTA would you most want to return in Leonida? What music genres do you think fit the modern Vice City vibe? For more on the game's reveals, visit our GTA 6 trailers & videos page, and keep an eye on the GTA 6 hub for updates.

Hearing Flash FM is back hits right in the nostalgia, but I am skeptical. The whole reason that station worked in the original Vice City was the pure eighties synth-pop magic matching the pastel neon aesthetic. Modern pop just doesn't carry that same vibe. If they don't keep some classic tracks on heavy rotation or bring back that over-the-top personality, it is just the name slapped on a generic top forty station.
Even if they butcher the tracklist, you know custom radio will be the first thing everyone sets up anyway. That is, assuming background audio streaming does not tank frame pacing whenever you drive into a dense intersection. Flash FM can play whatever modern pop it wants, as long as cycling through the station wheel does not micro-stutter my game into the single digits on PC.
