GTA 6 Officially Locks November 19, 2026 After Multiple Delays – Rockstar Apologizes for Extra Wait
After multiple delays, Rockstar Games has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI will launch on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 (including PS5 Pro) and Xbox Series X|S. Digital pre-load and physical editions (a download code in a box, no disc) will be available from November 12, 2026. The game is not coming to PS4 or Xbox One.
Take-Two originally targeted a Fall 2025 window, but in May 2025 the title was pushed to May 26, 2026. In November 2025 it was delayed again to the current November 19, 2026 date. Rockstar addressed fans directly: "We are sorry for adding additional time to what we realize has been a long wait, but these extra months will allow us to finish the game with the level of polish you have come to expect and deserve." This statement was published on Rockstar’s official GTA VI site.
Pre-orders opened on June 25, 2026, with the Standard Edition at $79.99 and the Ultimate Edition at $99.99. All early purchasers also get the Vintage Vice City Pack as a bonus.
