GTAcraft: One Developer's GTA Fan Hub for the Long Wait Before GTA 6

Every GTA fan knows the hobby that grows up between big Rockstar releases. You rewatch trailers frame by frame. You argue about maps you've only seen in pieces. You put a few hundred more hours into roleplay servers for a game that's been out for over a decade. Waiting for GTA 6 is practically a genre of its own.

GTAcraft is a site built for exactly that crowd. It's a Russian-language GTA portal put together by Konstantin Sokolov, a developer from Saratov who has a habit of shipping projects faster than most people can finish writing up the plan. He's 32, he works solo, and he doesn't explain much. For a GTA project, that low profile kind of fits.

Fair warning to our English-speaking readers: GTAcraft is in Russian. Your browser's translate button will get you through it, and a lot of the site is simple enough to follow anyway.

What GTAcraft actually is

Let's clear up the name first. Despite the "craft," this isn't a game server or a mod. It's a fan portal, roughly three things under one roof:

  • A GTA 6 hub at gtacraft.cc/gta-6/, pulling together news, videos and forum threads about the game.
  • A forum at gtacraft.cc/forum/, where people talk GTA 6, GTA 5 and Online, RP servers and mods.
  • A catalog of GTA multiplayer servers at gtacraft.cc/servers, which is the part long-time GTA players will probably bookmark.

It's also worth being clear about what it isn't. GTAcraft is a fan site, not an official Rockstar channel. When it comes to GTA 6 release details, the publisher's own announcements are still the final word.

There's a news feed too, and it's heavy on GTA 6. Most of it is the "is this a hint or just a palm tree emoji" kind of story that's been eating the internet's attention for months. The site also has a channel on MinChat (minchatapp.com/c/gtacraft), for anyone who'd rather get updates in a messenger than keep refreshing a tab.

The hub: one tab instead of twelve

The GTA 6 section is laid out like a fan wiki that knows you're impatient. It covers the release date, trailers, the map, characters, platforms, pricing and editions, each in its own section. The thing we like most is that the page separates what's been officially announced from what hasn't, and it says it checks against official sources. During a pre-launch season where every blurry clip gets passed around as "confirmed," that's a pretty low bar. A surprising number of sites still trip over it.

Is it doing anything a dedicated English wiki can't? Honestly, not much, if all you care about is the facts. Where it stands out is the whole package. The hub links straight into forum threads and videos, so it feels less like reading a reference page and more like walking into the room where people are arguing about that page.

The server catalog is the sleeper feature

This is the part our forum regulars should actually care about. GTA's multiplayer and roleplay scene never needed GTA 6 to stay busy. People have been running their own worlds on GTA V and even San Andreas for years. GTAcraft lists more than a hundred of those servers (136 cards when we checked) across GTA V platforms like FiveM and RAGE MP, plus classic San Andreas multiplayer. You can filter by platform and see which servers are online.

Server owners can submit their own listings, and those go through moderation before they show up. That matters on a list like this, because nobody wants to scroll through a page of dead links.

We're not going to rank servers here. Taste in RP is personal, and some of you would start a war over a police-job script. Still, if you've been meaning to try GTA roleplay before GTA 6 drops, a filtered catalog is a much easier place to start than five random Discord invites.

The forum: arguing about trees, as tradition demands

The forum runs on a standard WordPress forum setup, and its sections cover what you'd guess: GTA 6 news, rumors and leaks (clearly labeled as rumors), trailer breakdowns, the map and the world, along with GTA 5 and Online, mods and RP servers. Thread titles run from serious marketing analysis to someone counting trees in a trailer, which is about as GTA-community as it gets.

Why a one-person fan portal is interesting right now

Most GTA 6 coverage comes from big outlets in the same few languages. GTAcraft is a niche, community-first portal for Russian-speaking fans, run by someone who would clearly rather ship than talk about shipping. Sokolov has launched a lot of projects over the years, and they tend to start the same way: as a quick working version that gets tested on real people right away. GTAcraft looks like it was built the same way. It's practical, a bit scrappy, and not trying to win any design awards.

Will it matter once GTA 6 is actually out and everyone is too busy playing to read news? That's the real test for every GTA fan site. The server catalog and forum have the best chance of keeping people around after launch, because GTA players never really stop looking for somewhere new to play.

Bottom line

If you read Russian, or don't mind running everything through a translator, GTAcraft is a handy all-in-one stop for GTA 6 news, forum arguments and a moderated GTA server list. If you don't, it's still a fun look at how GTA fandom works outside the English-speaking internet. And either way, the server catalog is worth a look the next time you get bored of story mode.
