Where to Kayak, Golf, and Hit the Gym: All Confirmed GTA 6 Side Activities by Location
Rockstar’s extended gameplay look and official Leonida descriptions confirm a long list of side activities—from kayaking and zoo visits to street racing, mini-golf, gyms, pool, wrestling, and off-roading. The studio hasn’t pinned each one to a specific map location, but the environmental clues are strong. Here’s our best guess at where you’ll be doing what, based on what’s been shown and officially described.
1. Kayaking: Grassrivers and the Leonida Keys
Kayaking feels tailor-made for the mangrove-choked wetlands of Grassrivers, where Rockstar promises alligators and shallow waterways. The tropical island chain of the Leonida Keys, with its clear waters and coastal inlets, is another natural fit. The extended look showed a brief watercraft scene, but no exact coordinates were given.
2. Gym workouts: Vice City and Port Gellhorn
Gyms are confirmed, and the neon sprawl of Vice City—with its beachfront Ocean Beach and dense urban districts—could house several. Port Gellhorn, a faded vacation town with cheap motels, might also offer a rundown muscle beach or a strip-mall gym. Rockstar has said exercise affects Jason’s and Lucia’s appearance, so expect to find weights and cardio machines scattered across both settlements.
3. Mini-golf and pool: Port Gellhorn’s boardwalk
Port Gellhorn’s economy is officially “fueled by malt liquor, painkillers, and truck stop energy drinks.” That screams roadside attractions and seedy entertainment. Mini-golf and pool tables feel right at home near its cheap motels and strip clubs. Vice City could also host a pool hall in Little Cuba or near the Tisha-Wocka flea market, but the vacation-town vibe of Port Gellhorn makes it the frontrunner.
4. Off-road racing: Mount Kalaga National Park
Mount Kalaga is the only region Rockstar has explicitly tied to off-roading. Its northern wilderness is built for hunting, fishing, and dirt-track racing. Baja-style events through pine forests and muddy trails are all but certain here. The biker gang presence in nearby Ambrosia might also spill over into off-road meets.
5. Street racing: Vice City’s neon arteries
Vice City’s grid of coastal highways, downtown overpasses, and beachfront avenues is an obvious playground for illegal street racing. The extended look showed high-speed chases through urban canyons, and the official soundtrack tease hints at a car-culture pulse. Expect start lines near the VC Port or Starfish Island.
6. Zoo visits: a mystery location
Zoo visits are confirmed, but no facility has been named. A Vice City attraction—perhaps near Ocean Beach or a suburban edge—seems plausible, or it could be a standalone stop along the highway to Port Gellhorn. Rockstar’s Florida satire might place it next to a gator-themed souvenir stand. For now, it’s pure speculation.

The gym system bringing back visible body changes instantly reminds me of pumping iron in San Andreas back in the day. Spending hours turning CJ into a bodybuilder or letting him get out of shape was peak open-world design. Glad they are finally revisiting actual lifestyle mechanics instead of just letting us buy new shirts.
I just hope the gym has genuine gameplay weight behind it this time. If bulking up actually shifts your melee damage profile, sprint endurance, or even how law enforcement perceives you in dialogue, then we have real buildcraft going on. If it is just spamming a quick-time event every few in-game days to reset a cosmetic meter, that novelty will wear off pretty fast.
Kayaking through Grassrivers has my attention if the water physics allow for actual momentum preservation. Shallow water usually kills vehicle speed in open-world engines, so if there is paddling tech or river currents to exploit, traversal routing could get wild. That mini-golf mention makes me sweat, though. Any run that requires 100 percent completion is going to die on a clown mouth hole.
Haha, you are sweating over completion times while I am just praying the mini-golf and pool have pick-up-and-play controls so anyone can hop on the couch and challenge each other. Cruising through the swamp in a kayak dodging alligators feels like the exact kind of goofy distraction my crew will lose hours to on a weekend.
