Okay, so imagine if someone handed you a toothbrush and said "here, clean this entire moon." That's Moon Sweepers in a nutshell - a weird little co-op game where you and up to 15 friends are basically running the world's most ridiculous cleaning business on a lunar surface. You collect dust, upgrade your gear, and try to turn a joke premise into an actual operation.

The core loop is surprisingly addictive once you get past the silly concept. You're vacuuming up lunar dust with increasingly ridiculous tools, from basic toothbrushes to full-on cleaning vehicles, and the multiplayer aspect actually works well when your friends show up. The progression feels good - earning enough to upgrade your equipment gives you that satisfying sense of building something from nothing. However, it can get pretty frustrating when you're trying to coordinate 16 players and half of them are just messing around instead of actually helping collect dust. The selling mechanic also starts to feel repetitive after a while since you're basically doing the same loop over and over. The game leans hard into its absurd premise with cartoony graphics that work well for the concept - everything's bright and colorful with a sort of Saturday morning cartoon vibe. The sound design is mostly satisfying vacuum noises and the occasional funny voice lines when you're coordinating with teammates, though there's not much in the way of actual music to speak of. The atmosphere is consistently lighthearted and silly, which helps sell the ridiculous premise even when the gameplay starts wearing thin. Moon Sweepers works best if you've got a regular group of friends who enjoy chill, low-stakes games together. It's not going to blow anyone away mechanically, but there's something oddly charming about turning a completely ridiculous job into a semi-serious operation with your buddies. If you're looking for something to mess around with for a few hours while chatting with friends, this scratches that itch pretty well.
