Description

Man, Forza Horizon 6 takes you straight to Japan and it feels like nothing else in racing games right now. The map is massive, packed with mountain roads, city streets, and countryside that actually makes you want to just drive around instead of racing. With over 550 cars to mess with, you're basically set for life if you like variety.

Review

The driving feels really good once you get used to how the physics work, though it took me a while to figure out the handling on some of the more powerful cars. Drifting around mountain corners is super satisfying when you nail it, but the AI can be pretty inconsistent - sometimes they're challenging, other times they just feel like they're letting you win. The open world stuff is where it shines though, with all these different events popping up and letting you just mess around however you want instead of forcing you through a strict campaign. Japan looks incredible in this game, especially during sunset when the light hits the mountains and temples. The sound design is solid with engine notes that actually change based on what car you're driving, though some of the licensed tracks get repetitive after a while. The atmosphere really sells the whole road trip fantasy - you're not just racing, you're exploring a country that feels alive with other drivers, festivals, and random encounters. If you're into racing games at all, this is worth picking up, especially if you liked previous Horizon games. It's not going to blow your mind if you're expecting something completely different from what the series usually does, but the Japan setting and sheer amount of cars make it feel fresh enough. The physics might frustrate people who want super realistic simulation, but for most players looking for that perfect mix of arcade fun and decent handling, it delivers.
