Is the Free GTA+ Month a Solid Reason to Pre-Order GTA 6 Digitally?

Alright, deal hunters, let's talk about that free month of GTA+ you get for pre-ordering GTA 6 digitally. On the surface, it sounds like a nice perk—a subscription tossed in for clicking 'buy' on the PlayStation or Xbox store. But here's the catch: GTA 6 is described as a single-player experience at launch, and it's unconfirmed whether a new GTA Online will launch alongside it. That GTA+ subscription? It's for GTA Online, the existing one. So you're getting a month of bonuses, cash, and discounts in a game that isn't necessarily tied to the one you're dropping $80 on. If you're still grinding Los Santos, maybe it's a sweetener. If you're done with it, it's about as useful as a discount on ammo for a gun you don't own.

Is a month of old-gen perks enough to lock in your pre-order? Or would you rather wait and see if the Ultimate Edition's extras are worth the extra $20? And if you're grabbing it digitally, are you doing it for the GTA+, or just for the convenience of a pre-load on November 12? Check the full rundown on our GTA 6 hub and the confirmed release date details.

A free month of perks for a completely separate sandbox feels totally disconnected from why I want the new game. I care about the story, the world reactivity, and whatever fresh simulation systems they are cooking up for the campaign. Offering temporary bonuses in Los Santos just feels like a retention trick to keep old server numbers warm. Definitely holding off on locking in any pre-order until we see real mechanical breakdowns.

Remember when pre-ordering meant getting a folded cloth map or a neat little art booklet instead of thirty days of rented digital perks? Bundling an active live-service sub to push pre-orders on an unreleased title feels so modern in the worst way. If you are just showing up for the fresh single-player world, it has zero actual value. The campaign should be able to stand on its own feet without recycled sweeteners.
